Been to have a look at this today, and before committing any further, thought i would enquire on a hyundai forum.......my current car is a 1.6 8v astra, 51 plate, so will get about 1200-1400 trade against it the guy i spoke to there said, its done 38k miles, so is it worth 3.5k?

Personally.. I think it is a little expensive mate.
I paid £6K for mine...

Its a 2006 55 Plate facelift model, same colour, 2.0Litre. Leather seats, one owner, with FSH. 30K miles.

Considering that is £5k..... i think its too dear.

If you can increase your budget a little... id go for a facelift.... youd get one for about 5500.

But if you like that one..

I think £4500 is a bit steep for a '51 plate 1.6, whatever the mileage. I would say nearer £3000 as a start for that age.

sorry, the car is a 53 plate, 38,000 miles.......my trade in car is the 51 plate.......ill carry on shoppiong around anyway, are there any major things to look for on the coupes in particular?

I did pretty much the same swap mate, 02 1.6 8v astra club for a 1.6s coupe on an 02 plate.

Got the coupe for 3900 just over a year ago, and would estimate the same model is currently worth as stated, in standard form around 3000-3300 depending on condition

Same car as mine which I paid exactly the same price for in 2008 but 24,000 miles on the clock and mines got an electric sunroof which im told was aftermarket
