Popped into Halfrauds for a new pollen filter, all the ones on the shelf were under £10 but didn't have one for the coupe. Woman at the parts desk said they didn't stock them and had to order it in, would take a few days and cost £30!! I basically laughed and walked out. Flying through eBay I found an antibacterial one from Korea for £12. Happy with that!

Then I needed a new washer pump as the seal had gone on mine and the circuitry was ruined. Thought breakersyard or 24/7spares were a good bet as one from the scrappy probably wouldn't be much better. But they all wanted around £100 for it!! Couldn't believe it in the slightest!! So back to eBay and got a new one, again from Korea. £12 delivered too.

Can't believe how much people try to mug you off in this country sometimes!

My other half needed a new driver seat on his T reg Toyota Celica (one of the backrest support things had sheared so it was sitting at an uncomfortable angle). Phoned a Toyota garage;

"yes sir, we can order you a new seat...that'll be £495 plus delivery...um, £530"

Did a breakers yard text service and one phoned back saying he had the same model / year and colour and could get it couriered over the next day for £80.

Needless to say he went for that option!!

Some places seem to charge the earth for Hyundai coupe parts and even on ebay, some sellers are looking for stupid money for parts. I contacted a seller on there who had a Gen 3.5 in red. I wanted the front bumper including fogs & both grills and also the headlights. He quoted me £500 for the bumper and a further £350 for the headlights and also stated that they were in high demand. I promptly told him where to get off left it at that as I refuse to pay over the odds for anything as he though he could charge what ever he wanted.
