I feel your pain!

After searching around for some prices, I've just decided to do mine myself, had MOT last month so mechanically everything should be fine so just changing oil and filters, in fact I'm doing the oil change tonight. You can get all the stuff you need online - filters & oil for easily less than Â£100.

I'm at 55k and haven't had the BIG cambelt change yet

best start saving!

new fords now say you dont need to do the belt for 100k... same length of time as the old chains

Well i paid less for the car than what i had saved so the Â£500 didnt really matter to me, although i still feel it is expensive. Probably the extra time it takes to pull off those bloody plastic covers with retainer pins that snap just by looking at them :lol

Seriously though the 50k service is the one NOT to miss.

Getting back to my original post, i bought an oil filter for Â£7 delivered off ebay (genuine hyundai) and i have the oil from a previous top up so happy days...sod the stamp of rip off approval!
