b4 i get the ' im fed up with these mpg threads' just dont (you know who you are), im not asking what the mpg is and im not telling ya what the mpg is coz i cant be arsed working it out.

right then i took a little drive to doncaster to pick up my standard catback for the gen 3 ready for when i trade her in, this is a round trip of 175 miles 99% of which is motorway, now i filled up last night and had 4 mile on the clock when i left this morning, doing a steady 60-65 all the way there and all the way back my computer wrked out i can get 540 miles to a tank, thats miles id done and miles that i had left in the tank bearing in mind this is yorkshire and its just a mass of hills plus i had hig in the car so he can verify this, now before any says those mile clocks dont wrk.......mine do, they've always been bang on in my car and just to make sure there right i still have 3/4 of a tank left, thats 179 miles all in on 1/4 of a tank driving the car carefully, so the moral of the story, the coupes are NOT heavy on petrol unless ya put ya foot down all the time

When i had the vinyl done and took my mate to see a couple of celicas i filled up 4 times from Nottingham up to Sunderland across to Liverpool down to Chester (i think it was) Back to Nottingham! about £45 a tank when fuel was around 89.9 a litre

thats not bad - but then if youre doing a steady 60-65 then thats very believeable indeed. Its the braking then accellerating that sups all the fuel....
