Yea i could imagine mate, my previos car was a 1.3 and it used to SCREAM going 80...

So yea, i think you'll be postively suprised by the petrol return your going to get!

Just waiting for a nice black one to rear its head! Think I might give both the 2.0L and the V6 a drive before I make a final decision. If the V6 is able to return fair MPG then it may well be the car for me!

I test drove the 2.0, then went and test drive the v6 and didnt look back. V6 all the way.
I have had many respectable figures for mpg. averaged over 18months 27mpg, even got 56, 42, later 30's a few times on long distance journeys..... with a couple of 19's too.
If you work out over the course of year how much extra the v6 is to fuel its only 5% or so. But i tell you, its more than 5% of a bigger smile. Pick an older v6 for pennies now, and enjoy the knowledge that they cannot depreciate much more.
Test drive both and then decide.

Last time I checked on a long drive at 70/80 on motorway, I filled up before leaving and got home with half a tank and covered 200 miles.
Daily driving on mixture of runs I get 130-150 on half a tank.
So double the above and thats my V6 input
