hello there.Looking to come away from honda and purchasing a hyundai coupe.I have been looking at the f2 evolution coupe model.Can anybody give more info which is the best buy,reliability,model,engine,insurance etc.some info would be great.thanks.

First of all I will warn you that the opinions on here will be biased, however:

The 2.0l beta engine is a very reliable setup with no major probs. The TPS can give idling probs but its an easy fix to replace it.
All of the points you have raised are covered very comprehensibly elsewhere in the forums and it would be silly of me to try and cover all the info here.

The F2 EVO engine is the Beta 2.0l engine with a 1.8l inlet cam in it so it is still very reliable. Look for rust around the rear wheel arches and leading edge of the sun roof apart from that pick your colour and enjoy.

as above, great car just find a good low millage example and its will hold its value well.

i brought mine for 2600 a couple years ago and a year later sold it for 3200

The Evo has asthetic improvements aswell, well wroth paying a little more for, but to be honest theyre all excellent. The 1.6 may be a little underpowered for the size and weight, so id definately opt for the 2.0. The selling prices are satupidly low aswell for what you get, and thats a great car for little money.
