Soon to be fgetting my SIII and unlike my gen 1 , i was not aware of common problems such as ;

sunroof switch tends to go faulty after a while
the time clock flashes after a while and nerver stays on long
the manifold lump cracks dead easy
trailing links go easily


so my question is from all the users that know, is there anything i should know before hand that may cause problems or so called characteristic faults???

and any other gen info that may be of use?

apparently if you use the rear seats repeatedly there are wear marks that will appear on the passenger side centre consol and carpet

I am going to look at a 1600cc 2001 reg coupe this week. What should I look out for. (Looking at 1600cc for tax, insurance and running costs) Oh and its up for £1995 - is that good or bad. Sounds to cheap to me!

All the Coupe models are good reliable cars, aside from the previously stated. I guess the only major downer is the weak exhaust manifold. Hopefully your new Coupe will run beautifully. But if not, theres a wealth of knowledge on the quickest and cheapest repairs/modifications on this site, so don't be afraid to use it.
