On another side note, did anyone watch the documentary about that pirated USA ship not long ago? The 3 navy seal snipers took out all 3 pirates in the head from a moving ship and moving targets all at the same time, unbelievable.

Yeah snipers really are impressive, forget what you hear about the marines "99.9% need not apply" you don't even get to apply to become a sniper, you get chosen!

To give you an idea the normal effective range for a rifleman in the infantry is 300-600m MAX and even at those ranges accuracy is like few and far between.
The longest range shot recorded to have hit a live target was by a U.S sniper at near enough as damnit 2 miles! (3,200m!) I think the longest range shot by a U.K sniper is around 1.5miles (2,400m).
