depending on which one you buy.

the one i had created a nice deeper growl!

the one i used on the MG ZS was the xpower green one.

this is a similar one to what i used to have in the ZS

on the right hand side of the bay, you will see the fuse box. this need to be unscrewed from the 2 or 3 bolt into the side wall.

then underneath that there is a black plastic tube leading from the air filter box which is right next to the fuse box, and goes down into the bodywork. thats the bit that needs to come out. it basically pulls out. nice and easy, now put the fuse box back in place and all is done.

Think i got it sorted last night, well i ripped something out from under the fuse box that resembled in a way, a snorkal . What is the Resonator and where might i find it?

Didnt notice much in terms of performance but the noise is definately quite nice

yeah the noise is the best bit about it.

the resonator box is basically where the air filter goes. its what that pipe was plugged into...

i've got a pipercross in mine, sounds great.

No problem bro, you deserve a mention for puttin in the work on CAI kits, Lets hope that the gains are the same for my Gen 3.5 as they were for your coupe

Bit more noise, but to be honest thats it... the resonator is just there to quieten down induction noise... some people claim a performance increase, but if it does then it would be so small you wouldnt notice it. Sounds great though but thats about it

The intake system is odd on the gen 3.5.
It comes out of the air filter box down into the resonator (silencer) box, behind the fog light, back up between the light and battery. The end of the intake is actually pointing backwards from the front, towards the battery. Seems a bit strange to me. You would think in would come in the gap between the bumper and bonnet.

I will see if there is any MPG benefit just as soon as I stop reeving it as much lol

its annoying with this out, i keep rakin er, lol

yeh definately love the roar that comes out, sometimes even have my window down in this cold weather to hear it

i havent noticed much, if not any decrease in my MPG, as cjtkd said i have noticed less power in like 5th gear on motorway, but quicker and nippier around town, or well so my mind is making me think, probably just feel like im going faster because of the sound!!

I did this mod... it sounds good and i can definately feel more power...
