BEEP BEEP :b

Tried to follow instructions, but my alarm was doing crazy things. Anyway, just pressed the buttons a few times til it beeped and then it was done

Add another pint to the list of beers owed!

I had the same problem njonesn, eventually I got it to work but never noted the exact order I carried out each step.

I just tried a gain and it worked first time, I used the following steps.

1. Unlock car and open door
2. Open bonnet while keeping door open
3. Insert key and unlock steering lock (I have noticed if the steering lock isn't on at start it doesn't work for me) So make sure you have the steering lock on before trying this.
4. Turn key to on position
5. Press larger button on key FOB.

It works first time every time for me now using these steps.

Try here:

note that the LED flashes they refer to are the ones in the car - not the fob.

A fantastic post

Thanks Mike. Excellent instructions took no more than 2 minuets and now I have a beep and I can even change how loud I want it.

Sad but I have used all 5 setting to see if I liked them.

:thanks

I now also have a bleeping alarm and very pleased I am; that's another pint on it's way to you Mike.

I followed your instructions and it worked first time (well second actaully as I closed the door before opening the bonnet).

I think i've come to the conclusion that my 2003 1.6 S doesn't have an alarm even though i've got the same fob as here , I can't find any LED on the interior of the car indicating a alarm system.
Is there anywhere on the car I can check

the hyundai factory alarm does not have a beep option, only if you have the scorpion fob which was fitted at the docks on pre 2004my and 2.0/2.7l gk coupe,s can then be changed to have the beep.

Hi !

I read this thread and without much enthusiasm that it was going to work I decided to give it a go on my gen 3.

However, I was gobsmacked when my alarm start bleeping !!!

Consequently, I thought it only right that I should add my thanks !

So a BIG THANK YOU

Cheers!

Brett
