Anybody wondering why the aftermarket induction kits are popular mods - this is why:

Thats the induction kit off my gen1 Coupe, reassembled outside of the vehicle. Nice, eh.

Some 2.5kgs in weight, it's near enough 700mm high, a good 400mm across and 350mm 'ish deep. 4x90 deg bends and 1 of 45deg. A slot of some 4"x2" (the famous "snorkus mod" removes this) for engine to suck through and 2 resonator boxes to hush all that lovely induction note. :roll:

No wonder the Coupe responds so well to CAI, SRI and ducted SRI systems... Thanks must go to Hyundai for this shocking piece of 'design' - because the improvement a £35 kit made to my car puts a smile on my face to this day, 1 1/2 years later :mrgreen:

i took mine off within the first month of havin my car and was amazed at how much crap there was in my wing. It ended up behind my dads shed for a year then went doen the local tip
