see the red lead, thats the amp lead, so follow where mine goes into the square hole, this leads into the wheel arch

then as said take the plastic cover off the inside and see that black box, you can take that out easily, the cables can be un-plugged and then you can get the gromet hole as seen in the picture

Cool, Just another quick question, inside the arch where did you tack up the wire? i tried last night to put it behind the brake pipe and some other pipe, is that correct?

i just fed it through and didn't fix it to anything, if you want to loop it round one of the other cables or pipes thats fine, but i just left mine free, BTW don't don't put the wheel arch liner back in until everything is connected and working ok.

Ok ive done everything apart from wiring the speaker and remote wires to the standard clarion head unit. Found 2 sets of RCA leads, are either ok to use (both red and white)?

also where do i put the remote lead, cant find anything using the search. I can see a blue and white lead coming out of the unit?

Cheers

The remote lead is normaly the blue/white lead chech for any writing on it. as for the RCA's one set will be for the front and the other for the rear. Usually they use the rear output for the sub, unless they is a dedicated rca out for the sub.

i do have a fuse its just not visible in the picture, because the cable runs down the battery from the terminal and is secured to the bottom plate, instead of using the crappy sticky pads they supply with the cable.

also remember the + side of the battery is to the left of the car.... so the cable runs like this

thats ok... i did look at the picture and figure that you thought it was connected to the other terminal...

as for the chaffing of the cables in the hole, the cable is secured and doesn't move at all, so it ain't going anywhere, and the hole is slightly bigger than the cable but not enough to leave the grommet in place, the photo inside the car was taken mid install so it looks loose, but just out of shot there is a cable grabber that is holding things in place
