the spoiler keeps freezing to the boot lid and makes a crazy rattle when driving,

is it just mine or anyone eles notice this?

glad i'm not alone on this

took me 3 days to get the ice out from inbetween the spoiler

old spoiler was frozen onto the car when i changed over to the new one. keep hearing this creaking and me being slow thought it was the rear windscreen crackin due to outside/inside temp differences and stopped using the rear de mister!!!!hahaha was paranoid it would shatter on me

Like above, turn stereo up and luvvly jubbly - no more annoying rattling / cracking noise

its the most annoying sound ive ever heard,im gonna remove it and bond it to the body that should stop it

I have a high spoiler, so my guess is it makes no difference!

yes it does make it difference.it sounds even worse

i have a high spoiler as well and never noticed it with the stock one......never been minus 8000 before either!

My high level spoiler is murder for it lol, though it only has 3 bolts holding it on as one of the holes has threaded, and it was previously fitted so the adhesive stuff I assume it is that is inbetween spoiler and boot is all worn ;-( lol.


I want to get it smoothed in one day, that should sort it just fine and look better too ;-)

My F2 EVO Spoiler does it too, Think its when water/moisture gets underneath then freezes causing it to rise slightly.

The spoilers are hollow and not airtight, they have drain holes in them as well so it may just be a case of ice forming inside and rattling about.

First i thought something had cracked but thankfully it was just the ice - very noisey!

it improved here by an inch of rain in 6hours, add in gales force winds, falling trees blocking roads and melting snow casuing flash floods!!!its like the world is ending in Cork!

it is. about 25 miles from my house there is just a black line......*looking blankly into the distance* those who have have crossed over have never returned..... fallen into the abyss......... or Waterford. whatever u prefer urself!

yeap, the ice settles on and makes a right racket, like its boucing up and down.
