The ST is one of the latest breed of FWD hot hatches/saloons that have more power than the car can take, the reviews on the ST, VXR Vectras etc all say the same, quick in a straightline but have huge problems with torquesteer, meaning you get huge understeer. So while your Siii may not have the power, it may well handle a lot better and be more fun to drive. |

the ST is a fantastic car. RS is even better. I know someone with both Very quick aswell even round corners. So much they are sourcing another RS at the moment to strip and race (professionally) after tweaking etc etc |

A friend of mine has a previous shape ST170, it's quick no doubt but nothing special. I can't say I know much about the new STs, but everyone says they're awesome, coupled with the Focus RS, which is meant to be mentally quick. |

I've just traded in my Coupe 2.0SE today for a MKV Golf GTI & even though it's not possible to do much yet (bl**dy snow) it's immediately obvious just how much better the Golf is in all respects. I did enjoy my Coupe ownership, it certainly had the looks and was a decent enough drive - it's just a shame Hyundai never really improved it during it's numerous facelifts Simon |
