Well probably going to be getting a new car next year...

I do love the coupe, but it something about it that making want a change. Now with starting college again my car is getting damaged aswell, so thinking of getting a car more common and as non flash as the coupe...
Cars been keyed on the wings and the rear windscreen, aieral snapped off, dust caps pinched and even chewing gum thrown all over it!

So thinking about what cars i like, and ive come up with 2 choices: Either a new shape vauxhall astra 1.9 cdti, 150bhp 250 tourque, 3dr, 6spd and with a tuning box you get that figure up to 200bhp and 360ish torque! Oh and still with a return of 44-46 mpg

I think the black 3 door sri model looks dead good, thinking of coilovers and dropped right down aswell, and should look wonderfull!

My other option, 2003 honda civic type r. That was the plan in about 18 months time after the coupe, but with the damage happening to the coupe im thinking i need to get a slightly more understated car quicktime.

So i think the astra is going to be on my drive next year...

Sad to think you will be getting rid dude. My mate has a black 3dr astra a fancy one but not sure which all i know is its not the vxr. Its fast and looks good on the outside but still a vauxhall at the end of the day and the interior and toys are very poor in my oppinion compared to the coupe. Your car your choice though.

my missus got the exact model astra your talking about realy quick bit dissapointing on level of trim seen as it is the sri and I find the seats not very comfy at all compared to the coup she now car shares and the days she doesn't use it I take it to work and leave mine tucked up in the garage, it is a great car but I don't look at it as I walk through my works car park as I do my coup and as the car park is in the middle of the campus I do pass it several times a day sad I know but that's what I do.

Sorry to hear about another person having the same problems.

You have to worry about the mentality of the people who mindlessly do this, chances are they are living off our taxes too.......

Not sure if its an option but a mate was in a simlar position, his car was getting lots of silly bits of damage while he left it at work.
His sollution was to buy a bit of a nail, a diesel, it was cheap to insure and tax. It wasnt much more than running 1 car, by the time he added in the money he would have lost PX and the savings he made running a car with nearly double the MPG and he could drop his milage down on car 1 by a few thousand miles he wasnt much worse off running 2 cars.

Tis a good idea, but unfortunatley not viable for me atm! Being only 19 insuring 1 car is bad enough.
