The major beneficiaries of the Government's scrappage scheme, which began on May 19, include Hyundai, whose sales rose 91pc to 5,265, Kia, which rose 61pc to 4,945, Nissan, up 9pc, and Ford, the best-selling brand in the UK, up 4pc to 29,803.
Hyundai's performance, led by its small cars the i10, i20, and i30, propels the South Korean group into the top five UK car brands, above the likes of Volkswagen, Fiat and Peugeot, in terms of private sales.
The company has sold more models than anyone else in the scrappage scheme and Tony Whitehorn, the UK managing director, said the impact on sales had been “incredibleâ€

But seriously, thats great. Hopefully people will now give Hyundai a chance and show people that they are actually great cars for value

Thats all fine now but when the scrappage deal ends what then oh yea they will be on there knees again. a short term fix is good for us in the now. but when its all over the long term problem still exists. this is what is called the long con. the only reason why we as a nation are in this mess is because of the over whelming need for our goverment to controll everything abit like pinky and the brain today the country tomorrow the world. and its all back firing.
