the number plate thing has been in for ages. It actually got more picky recently as now your only allowed certain images on it and have to have a certain mm space at the edge too.

well, I think they have to be pristine condition, and all you can have written on it is the correct sized lettering, correctly spaced letters (as Retis said) and then you need the numbering in the bottom right and that is all I think.
