its true tho, i can get the mpg needle on mine down 5mpg, by flooring it in second gear to the red line. it comes down to the fact that the m3 was barely braking a sweat while the prius was killing its self

by top gear, does he mean 4th, and is 5th gear actually quite bad
I would toodle along around down in quite high gears (4th and 5th) with low revs, and i suppose the car is laboured slightly, but would i be better swapping this for say a healthier 4th gear or even 3rd where the revs will be higher?

Also Cruise Control, he says not to use it? I though that if cruising on a motorway, its best to have your cruise control on to maintain steady mpg???
