Hairy moment, was coming off a 50 on my way to work onto a big roundabout. Slowed down and gave way, set of to take the exit on the right. Went slow because i'm keeping it below 3000 revs for petrol sake and halfway around my back kicked out and i was going sideways. Sh£t it, was very very busy but i was able to catch it hold it round for a bit before turning into the junction. It was pouring it down but i must of hit oil or a puddle because it just went! Heart was beating like mad, i was thinking 'this is it my first crash, poor coupe poor poor coupe'. Everyone looking must of thought i was a tw*t, i was actually looking into the middle of the roundabout at one point.

Just lucky i'm the baws at driving :P any of my other mate 'except one' would of lost it lol

sounds a bit like it could have been lift-off oversteer, possibly??? seem to have more and more ppl suffering (or at least admitting) it - long post from Jay about it a while back. I had it once with my old crappy budget tyres in the wet (typically with a bus coming the other way, so another hairy moment).

I got my front 2 tyres changed last month and i took they asked what type? And i went CHEAPEST lol

He put the second cheapest on, said they were better. Cost 100 in total.

lol, and mine are £110 each (admittedly they are 18's tho)... have always said that tyres are the only thing keeping you on the road so certainly not an area to save on - and with tyres u almost do get what you pay for...

Guess you'll just have to be careful in the wet Bottom line, at least ur safe and well

I was skint at the time and i got told both were bare by a different garage. I'll probally get a new car this summer so they'll do just now.

I've mentioned this on a previous similar post.
I used to have a BMW735I hell of a lot of power to the rear wheels.
Changed both rear tyres and got cheap ones which always seem to be harder compound.
Car slid about at the slightest touch of the accelerator and made it almost undriveable.
I had to put up with it due to lack of funds but it took the fun out of driving.
Moral of the story is, You can't compromise on tyres.

It was ancient but in excellent condition and I bought it at a time my libido needed a boost, and oh boy, did it give me a boost.
Funnily it was fitted with an econometer similar to the coupe but it wasn't necessary as you could hear the petrol gurgling down the pipes when you put your foot down.
Brilliant motor, very expensive to run.......bit like the coupe now.........but what the hell, they're both great cars in there own way.
