really cant understand the justification behind those numbers - they claim its to get us, the public, to move to greener cars - but how often can us public afford to change their car?!? We're not like them, the Londonite city-worker, earning mega-bucks, running 2 jags and can pick up a Prius at the drop of a hat... They expect ppl to suddenly be able to afford a new ('cos i cant imagine there's enough on the 2nd hand market to go around) bio/hybrid car? they're f-ing mental (and not in the good "that's mental" way)!

but, it explains the £950 tax as the tax rate for a band M cars in its first year of ownership - after that will be the bargain £455

I think im gonna emigrate! This government is financially destroying this country! And all us British do is put up with it. U think of all the hate that goes on between the general public. It would be so much better employed focusing it at this bunch of knobs.

Also im not sure where the logic is with an economy about to crash that putting petrol up, putting road tax up and increasing alcohol costs comes from!?!?!?!?! I've already heard a few people saying that it currently is only just worth actually going to work. I presume this is people who have to travel a long way to work by car and are on a fairly low income. Pushing petrol and tax up will force people like this onto the dole. Unemployement will start to rise and the UK goes into recession.

Everyone on here please ensure u vote this government out next election cas as far as im concerned this country is gonna be ruined in a couple of years forcing many low income earners to emigrate.

And can u guys now see why they wont be selling nemore V6 coupes over here lol. "Showroom" tax as they call it (REALLLY pis*es ME OF THIS!) wud be wot £750 tax in its first year! Can anyone who is looking at buying a cheap nice looking fast(ish) coupe afford a one off big £750 BANG on top of insurance, the Petrol its gonna slurp and servicing costs? Then u cant even go down to the local for a pint cas thats gone crazy too!

Its looking like BMW 120D is the way to go! The tax on that is actually gonna go down with it only producing 128g/km.

Just a shame its as ugly as sin!
