The best way to deal with the numptys is to sit at the lights, rev the engine to accept the challenge then jump the car forward a foot or two, they think they have missed the light change and drop trhe clutch then realise that the light is red and stamp on the brakes (or go through on red) stall the car/get confused and when the lights go green you pass them at your normal take off speed.
If you chose to do this at a set of lights that have a camera they may even get a souvineer (three points and a photo) of thier stupidity.

Have used it a few times, the best one was when I got the timing just right and the lights went green as he stamped on the brakes causing his mate in the car behind to ram him up the rear. Everyone at work was wondering why I had such a big smile on my face all day

the thing is around these parts ud get chased and liched for it as ive been chased b4, must admit its gud fun wen ur runnin from a car full of lads who arnt happy................even beter wen u get so far infront and hide lol
