Im getting a new car soon and just wondered if anyone knew any stats on the 2.7 V6. What tax bracket and how much it costs and so on? And how the fuel consumption compares with the 2.0l.

People say that the 2002- on 2.0l is slower than the 1998 2.0l because of its weight and this is why im thinking its not a good idea to get the normal 2.0l in the newer shape.

Yeah, the torque dial is a little odd - is also in the 2.0, volt dial rarely used and the mpg dial is just scary to watch...

other differences between 2.0 and 2.7:
2.7 has Thatcham 1 alarm with sensors in the cabin, 2.0 gen3.5 is only thatcham 2 with an alarm which is pretty w**k (only door & bonnet sensors - not even 1 on the boot! Could open mine with the alarm armed and not a peep out of the car, great, huh?!?) Gen 3 2.0 alarm is better than the gen 3.5's.
2.7 has climate control, 2.0 is air-con
2.7 has traction control, 2.0 is more fun
2.7 has a cd-changer i think, 2.0 is single cd player
apart from that, think they're the same. a load more differences between the 1.6 and 2.0, like cloth seats instead of leather and no cruise-control, but you're not after the 1.6.

you could cash you tax in this month and re tax from March but you will have to get your skates on
