i think the online side of the ps3 will get better this year.I got rid of the 360 cos i had the dreaded red lights problem twice and microsoft take ages to sort it out.When my ps2 packed up a few years ago sony sent a replacment the next day and took the old one away.I also think its a bit of a rip off charging you a fee to play online after you have already forked out for the game.(its free on the ps3)

I've just got a PS3 literally received it 30 minutes ago. It came with a copy of GT5 Prologue; is the install at the beginning normal? Its taking ages.

agree that Microshaft nuked the system by not having the HDD as stock. But, in comparison, Sony borked the PS3 with limited accessible memory - why it needs to install to the HDD and can't buffer as well as the 360.

360 v PS3 comparison from one of the more trusted reviews:

the 360 is actually smoother - quite surprised me. but, yeah, ps3 is slightly quicker loading due to the HDD (but turn off the SixAxis crappy control gimmick system).

PS3 version technically slightly better, but not by much, but there's more content in 360 version (apparently even out of the box - plus the exclusive download content later on) - so pretty fair - both rock. But concerns about the performance of Sony online service (but, saying that, Xbox Live has died under the weight of CoD4 in the past, so it's not an easy winner).

if i had a PS3 too I'ld still get the 360 version for Live and the extra content :fingers

now, how mine was posted on fri but it's not arrived today is a little annoying ;(

Yeah SW force unleashed is well too short. On normal difficulty it can completed in abour 4-6 hours.

If anyone is looking for a game that will give hours of play that won't break the bank and is one seriously awesome game then i highly recommend "TES IV Oblivion"

It is a action/rpg game that is HUGE !!!!!! Can be played in 1st or 3rd person view depending on your preference....

If you do get it buy the "Game of the year" edition as it has an add on called Shivering Isles with it that is about another 60hrs of gameplay on top of Oblivions seemingly neverending gameplay.

PS3 allll the way! I got bored of GTA IV before I finished it, still finished it, but wasnt as interested in the game as previous GTA's. Too much fancy visual effects, there were lots more things to do in san andreas. Looking forward to getting my hands on saints row 2 and far cry 2, both look brill!

Alot of games arent as good as they could be, GTAIV could of also been better graphics than it was, but the developers dont want to spend more money than they have to. Instead of spending money on making the game from scratch for each console they make one version and port it to different consoles which is where you lose quality. Sucks really cause some ps3 games could be so much better as the graphics and power has better potential and you can fit much more on a disk than other consoles.

hopefully the developers will pull their fingers out. Its either EA games or UBISOFT thats said its going to stop doing it and make the games from scratch for the specific platforms.
