Old hands will notice that she`s now de-stickered & the intercooler is now satin-matte black & is almost invisible.

Gloss is courtesey of Autoglym Resin Polish.........now very easy to use indeed!.

Do you ever get junk mail under the bonnet Nick? Seriously, it's nice to have at least one original coupe around and with the amount of grunt you have, a little bit sobering for any other coupe owner.

tbh it looks daft, it was ment for a scooby. I've seen them on so many novas , corsas, and bloody saxos. So it kinda looses its apeal then, sorry. Not ment to affend.

The bonnet airscoop on my car is very important & essential for 2 reasons, firstly due to the position of the re-cycling dump valve on the alloy up-pipe (which takes the compressed air to the throttle body)......the bonnet would not physically close without the (jig-sawed) aperture!.
I chose the Subaru pattern simply because it completely covers the aperture & lets no rain in when parked.......& only a minute amount when on the move (extra cooling!).

Secondly, even after passing through my intercooler, the air is not fully cooled & the blast through the scoop cools this pipe, the dump valve, the throttle body & the whole plenum/intake manifold assembly.......whilst also reducing the entire engine bay temperature.
I also have a couple of 12 volt fans which help out when the car is stationary or moving slowly in traffic.

wow that black intercooler really does make it look so much more subtle, although i am a big fan of shiney chrome intercoolers! getting one on the alfa soon i mean uhm... no im not

Looks good nick, much better without the shopping list and well said, its not all about "looking cool" its all about the performance.

also don't mean to be picky but it's not the only turbo car in production by hyundai. in greace you can buy a 1.6 turbo coupe

Nick , I've been meaning to ask, have you had your car dyno'd?

115 to 180 is a very good gain. If so whats your torque like?
