Finally got the Siii console with Gen3 climate control unit cut and moulded in fitted... wires spliced into the Gen3 controls so no wires were cut and can be swapped back for the old units easily and still have them as spares ;)

Big thanks to Spider for helping with the splicing, I got the DIY from newtib (link can be provided if needed but can't be bothered trawling) and the guy that did the console moulding was a local car audio buff that was recommended by a friend as he did my mate's custom car-pc console etc, works for a company called dpaudio and I can hook people up if they want to go the same route, all is needed is an Siii console fascia and Siii switches ;)

As you can see the climate control unit still has major hotspot issues, also I broke one of the wire connector clips so I didn't have enough to wire up the outside temperature meter on the Siii console, it is now taking random signals from somewhere behind the console from all the wires back there, and started at 0 degrees, and kept rising, now it is settled around 43 degrees... feels pretty cold considering! Lol. I'll sort that out along with the hotspots in due time ;)

I also got the Gen3.5 rear lights fitted (the main reason I was visiting Spider in the first place lol). We took some step by step pictures to make a how-to as the newtib ones have lost the pictures :( but seem to have not taken the before and after ones... I was SURE I did :confused so I'll work on that too :idea

EDIT: Also a note that the front and rear foglights, as well as the hazard button and clock work PERFECTLY, and keen eyes will notice something else that I have already mentioned a while ago I did but a lot of people wouldn't have paid much attention to no doubt hehe.

That looks amazing! :thumbup wish I had that much time/patience/spare cash! I'm doing a sort of scaled-down version in mine! Got the steering wheel, vents, door pulls/handles + windows switches so far, but I'm sticking with the orange lighting! Keeping an eye out for a handbrake lever, and might get centre console sprayed flat gunmetal at some point!

I've got:
* Steering wheel
* Washer and wiper stalks (proper white markings)
* Cruise control stalk (proper white markings)
* Door pulls
* Door handles
* Window switches (blue illumination and proper white markings)
* Handbrake (smoother, more modern shape)
* Lower consol (extra cup holder, chrome ring, heated seat switches with chrome rings - not connected yet)
* Siii cigarette lighter (blue illumination)
* Centre console as you see here
* SIII multiguage (blue illumination with chrome rings)
* Custom SIII inspired speedo gauges with blue and white illumination
* SIII speedo surround bezel (chrome rings)

I Just need to hook up the temperature sensor on the console, fix the hotspots on the climate control unit and speedo display, replace 2 dead SMD's on the rev clock and fuel gauge, and replace the bulbs in the TCS, headlight aim and illumination control switches with blue LED's with resistors - I want to find a way around the fact that they have the Gen3 "greeny-orange" markings where the SIII markings are all proper white, I have tried to get the SIII switches to work... but they just plain don't work, plus the SIII has an ESP button not TCS, maybe some thin white vinyl in the exact font, size and spacing perhaps... still thinking lol.
Then my SIII interior will be complete ;)

My Gen3.5 lighting project is already complete with:
* Gen3.5 headlights (were damaged and I repaired them myself, want to one day find mint ones to replace these)
* Gen3.5 rear lights (with silvertech bulbs as orange ones look ridiculous!)
* Gen3.5 rear foglights (just look more modern)

I really prefer the Gen3 side fins to the Gen3.5 ones as the Gen3.5 ones look more weedy and I think I actually prefer the Gen3 front bumper for some reason, I definitely prefer the Gen3 front foglights ans the Gen3.5 ones are smaller and more tucked away lol. I may look at the GT Tech L2 Lip kit with type 1 sideskirts one day, but keeping the Gen3 body.

I would also like to point out that aside from Spider helping me fit the Gen3.5 rear lights, and wire in the Siii switch unit, I fitted everything myself :mrgreen:

That looks really good, fair play.

All the time, effort and money gone into it has paid off :thumbup

Ah I wish it was as nearly done as it looks on face value lol.
There is a real need to re-do the entire speedo unit, placing extra SMD's between each one to smooth the light out.

Res of plans for interior:
* Replace the SIII indicator stalk with an SIII V6 indicator stalk, as my V6 has auto light function, and only the SIII V6 model had them also, and they're a bug*er to find nevermind ones that are breaking for spares! May try Hyundai dealer just to see what they say! Lol.
* I want to put a Genesis start button above the console and below-and-between the centre vents (forgot to mention they are SIII vent rings - chrome rings inset)
* Install heated seats, and subsequently wire up the SIII heated seat buttons.
* Install folding mirrors, that will be a big problem as I'll not only need the folding mirrors, but I'll need an SIII window switch set with the folding mirrors button as a Gen3 set will have the greeny-grey markings and orange illumination!

After that is complete I move onto performance. I already have:
* Headers
* CAI
* Big bore throttle body
* SMT 6
Hopefully I'll get my old Motoria catback again so I don't need to buy another lol.
Then I'll need to get all that fitted, buy performance plugs and wires, have my current cat cut and fitted into the mid-pipe/decat off the headers (as Faz has done) and have the SMT tuned, but before I do that I want to also buy an NGM Stage IV Intake Manifold and get that fitted... why do things by half then add to it, just save, save, save and do it in one go ;) Plus I've been told to tune the SMT will be about £350 and I'd hate to have to pay that again if I bought the NGM later lol.

Aim is for around 220-240bhp at the end, I've got some springs that need fitting, want to upgrade the brakes to some K-Sport 14" 8pot fronts and 13" 6pot rears (go whole hog), Ive got a fat Ark front strut but I want the 3-point rear strut and mid-chassis brace that NGM sell, and poly bushes and motor mounts, along with torque damper, performance clutch kit and LSD.
If more is needed to get those kind of figures e.g. cams, ported+polished head etc etc then we shall see lol. But the Coupé is here to stay and it's only getting meaner ;)
