Whoops, close call - would have been far worse if you'd taken out the headlight :eek

Can anyone mind who it was doing the Gen3 to Siii convertion and how he got on? I tried searching but couldnt find the thread.

Iv been shopping around for some bumpers, found some good ones -

Not sure on a name for this one or a distributer

This look almost stock but with ribs at the corners

Id ultumatly want the Siii but with a gap in by the release catch as big as the Gen3.5. Not sure if would be possible but how nice -

That second one is the standard 3.5 front with a lip added. 3.5 front bumpers are ridiculously hard to find. I'm in touch with a few breakers at the moment and will see if they have anything.

that sucks! i did the same thing in the elantra. it shouldn't be hard to put back in but you need to glue the pieces back together, attach wire mesh on the back, glue that, and fiberglass the back of it. once that's done, fiberglass the cracks in the front together. then sand it with 400 grit, then work your way to 800 grit sandpaper. then match the paint and gloss.

when it's all done it should hold up nicely and shouldn't cost a lot.
