Painted me calipers!

Was a long couple of days, what with several coats and drying time...but im sooo happy with the results

Before

A gave the calipers a good brush down with a wirebrush, then went round with some sand paper and wiped round with white spirit to get them ready for the paint

Colour of choice...YELLOW!!!!

Masked up

The first coat looked pretty terrible, so throughout the next day I added a further 3coats allowing around an hour or two between each.

I left the heater on in the garage overnight to help with drying, and several days and alot of hard work later they were done

There not exactly perfect, but I think its a great improvement...now just the backs to do

Looks good, the rears are half the size of the fronts so wont take long at all.

I used the same brand of paint on mine about a year ago and they still look good now.

I thought that paint was great value, there was loads in it.

I hate when tyre fitters put the balance weights on the outside of the wheels.

they always do with mine! when i got my tures changed they put the weight in a new spot and the spot where they were is all manky now :aargh

just as well i got new wheels!

are u planning on getting decals too s1m0n?

Like the yellow.... i also did my red gen 2 callipers yellow. they look very nice.

very nice, def get the decals they really set it off!!
dont go to so much effort on the back ones dont bother taking the caliper off just leave it on, u could even do it lazy like me and just leave the wheels on

bit of paper around the alloys and your sorted

Liking the yellow. Obtained myself some yellow paint recently... just waiting for a decent enough day to attack mine.
