After deliberating on paying £30 for a new aerial, the answer was a resounding no!!! So, after my day of modding and fiddling i decided to use my existing mast aerial, a cheap ass £3 local market aerial, the tip of that aerial, hacksaw, and some wd40, and i ended up with this:





Just need to get black tough up paint on bottom of aerial.

And im well happy, saved money but also looks really good. I just took the tip off the cheap one, cut the mast down to size, re-cut the thread and walla!!

thanks mate, na not really, signal where i live always tends to be good except in very very tree type areas, but im not a dogger so im fine haha

Great idea and I done this a couple of years ago using an old astra bee sting ariel nip. I cut mine a bit shorter and it still worked great.
