A bit of cosmetic colouring! Wanted more blue in there so Wolah!!!! Initially was going to just do the radiator hoses!..... So i got a tad carried away whats wrong with that? Wont be too everyones taste i know but its what i wanted so im happy enough Next up the jun bl heat shield from pc! Should finish the bay off nicely!

I like it, don't think it's too much at all. Mines gonna be yellow! A lot of yellow! You don't have the heatsheild thingy that says "HOT" Did you take it off? cos mine doesn't have it either, but mine also doesn;t look like it's got the holes fro it to be screwed into!?

yeh i ripped that piece of old tat off! Im gonna replace it with the chrome one from performancecoupe! Hmmm i dont know about yours not having the bolt holes mate tbh... I know theres a few different manifolds for the gen1 but i thought they all had the heatshield bolted to them? I assume it is just the original manifold you have and not aftermarket?

only picked the motor up on sunday, but yeah from the looks of it, it's the standard one, isn't a 4-2-1 or anything, unless it was a stock type replacement that just didnt come with a heatsheild.

Yeah get some high temp paint and make sure it's all cleaned first and it's fine. Daring...yes, crazy...probably, hated by 99% of people...almost certainly. But i like to be different lol.

I find the problem with some car forums (not saying this one before anyone dives on me) is that people come on do something that looks cool and then that kinda becomes the norm and people rarely try anything different, and when they suggest somthing new or different they get flamed to crap about it.

Take silver interiors...i mean, jesus! yes, dont get me wrong, they look VERY nice, But how many people across all makes and models when modding their interior have silver or carbon fibre effect now. When i did my MGF i had pure white wheels white stripes, thin silver pinstripes just outside the white stripes and big white MG xpower decals down the sides. Took it to a couple of meets and everyone loved it, even the same people that told me it would look awful when i suggested it.

long as you keep the role tight when doing it mate its stays really tight! For the radiator hoses i did two layers just to keep it all tight and smooth! In a few of the more awkward places i cut off little strips and placed them individually slightly overlapping each strip! Ill get some close up pics uploaded for you

Neh i just started by moving the clips into the middle of the hose did each end worked up to the clips then moved the clips back to where they should be finished off the bit in the middle, then leaving the clips as they were i did the whole hose again!

I havent finished the bottom hose yet because for the very bottom bit ill have to Jack the car up and get under as it gets abit difficult to get in there
