hi guys
had some free time this weekend so i tried somthing different. not sure if it looks good or is border line tacky. the pics are not great but you get the idea. they are the R8 style led strips placed in the fog light gaps. i removed the standard side lights and mesh up the gaps. next step is to upgrade the head lights to hids so they match the same brightness and colour of the side lights.
like i said im still in two minds on these lights so would love your opinions.

Yeah think they look good steve, Can you get them to fit all the way round the fog hole, reckon it will look even better then

not any more. they was long enough but i cut them down. the original idea was to go along the top and down the outside edge but it just wouldnt go. the body kit got in the way. although at night they are so bright the whole gap lights up anyway so it dose look tike the whole gap is filled.

are they legal?

yeah i emailed the sell first to check and he says they are fine. just white ledsand will pass an mot. i have printed out the email and put it in my car just in case i do get pulled over and questioned. if im told to take them off it will take no more than 10 minutes to swop them back to the old ones as i didnt need to cut any wires.

Look real good steve! Only problem i can see as mention above is the rozzers mistaking them for your fogs! Then picking at everything!

ive decided im going to trim the down more and put them around the edge of the stock side light gaps. this way less leds so not so over powering also they are in the stock possition so cant be mistaken for fogs. ill get some pics up later.

ok i had another go at this.
this time i put the lights in the side light gaps. they are smaller now so they dont stand out so much and they are in the standard place so they cant be confussed with fogs.
what ya think?

Mmm Yeah was not too sure at first but, after looking a few times think they are really good and could catch on, give it a week or 2 and you will see scout with these

would the looks cooler going in an L shape from the bottom up da side?? just a suggestion! but they look class anyway! v cool idea!

ahhhhhh i see what you mean now. i did think about putting a strip along the inside of the indicator caseing but thought it might over power the indicator itself. you can put them anywhere really but it wouldnt be to easy to get them inside the main lights. also im pretty lazy lol
