A bit more colour coding

So quietly confident after spraying a few other bits this week i decided to tackle the dash! Went for the same bright white! Im not going to say its a perfect job, really professional and all that because its not :roll:

but for a first timer hasnt turned out too bad! The only problem area was the part goin over the dials, a few parts for some reason just didnt seem to want to allow the paint to take! So at some point ill be replacing that bit as theres a few rough patches but for now here we are! Oh the gear knob and gaitor will be replaced for black at some point :lol

I really dont know mate! The more i think about it the more im convinced i want to ship it with me (assuming i get offered a scholarship of course) But, on the other hand a decent offer and the cash would be hard to turn down! But hey 7 weeks ish to go then however long it takes for a decision so pleanty of mods still to come :lol

How did you spray it Ash? Did you use primer & laquer, or just spray straight on?

I'm bored and fancy tarting mine up today

Primer, paint and laquer mate!

Get a good quality plastic primer! I used Plastikote from halfords, Then plastikote super enamel The flat variety not the gloss! Then i used halfords universal clear laquer.

The difference is more pronounced on the Gen 2 as it has a two tone dash to match the seats. I have never removed my dash but I think Hig beleives (as I do) that the dash is in two bits there, which would make the two tone painting easy :shrug

Here you go Rik! I decided to just spray the 2 bits as i thought doing the whole panel would be too much! Also itd look pretty crap as it would just stop at the dash whereas the drivers side obviously follows on! I think that makes sense :lol

i did think about doing the surround for the window switch and the warm/cold air vent then theres always the handle and the back of the storage bit (no idea what thats really called) :lol

but i think too much on the passenger side could overshadow the main event so to speak

I'd break the white up a bit, don't think you should do anymore in white, although, have you done your rear speaker covers in white? did mine blue, the covers look really good painted!
