I used to be able to go on the forum wherever I was on my mobile, view threads and post replies - easy peasy.

Now all of a sudden I get "bad proxy" messages on a white screen if I try to post, viewing is still the same. It isn't because of the site change because I've been able to while it was red and black fro a while, just started not being able to a couple weeks ago.

It's VERY infuriating!


Anyone else have this issue, or maybe my real issue is I can't not post on here for 5 minutes even when I'm out? Lol.

I have a Nokia E72 if that makes any difference.

I had exacly the same recently on my I phone and posed the same question I think it was liddle who told me to clear my cookies which worked a treat

it's more than likley the phpbb2 cookies getting in the way of the new one..

The cookies for here have a different name to the phpbb2 ones.

I received the same error on my desktop, was actually related to the cookies from the Google Analytics script, rather than the site itself.

Either way, clear cookies (and maybe even cache) should solve the problem

Well I cleared all privacy data and still get the same message:

"Proxy server error. Please check the URL and try again. HTTP400 Bad Request."

I'd say it was a provider issue. Many mobile operators run proxy servers either to speed up browsing, control it, or just to cause grief.

Have a look in your settings to see if there are any proxy servers specified - i.e. in the browser and the connection settings (most likely) of the device itself - and temporarily disable them. You may find you then can't browse anything or, with a bit of luck, it may solve your problem.
