this isn't however a new problem, and one of the reasons for the recent bout of cerfuffle (post count over post quality)

I'm not convinced there is really much can be done about it, once a bullshi*ter always a bullshi*ter

I've had to have a decent thunk about it for the club site, and my conclusion was the thanks mod for the foum, whilst it couldnt stop the goings on it may help a reader decide how much confidence to put into a poster / post.

If there are any things posted that are spotted by non moderators, please highlight them either by posting correct info or, if you want to remain annonymus from the bull***ter poster, by PM to one of the moderators (Not Macker as he has enough on his plate with everything else) and we will take the appropriate action

yeah true enough doc i answer questions on gen1's cos i had one for years and now i got a gen3......but i think with a 3 your pretty much versed on most things 3 up cos they never really altered.i would hate to think someone with a gen1 was answering gen3 questions on brakes though....

While I appreciate the discussion on the way forward for the forum this thread is meant to be about what will happen to posts that are blatantly misleading and how to cover yourself if you are passing on 2nd hand information

(I love the freedom of the forums too I just want people to be responsible with their posts)

Muan thanks for that , but with the Coupe people beening a bit thick ( Daz ) i think it could make the forums a bit more hard to understand , a lot of new people that come on here ... and even the older members ( Faz) just about navigate there way around here .
What i think myself is to give people more trust in what there posting ... there is know way i will go the American way ( nowt against the Yanks ) that other people have said here , just look at the state of our country following there ideas what i would like is as Scout said ... lets work together ... if you see a bad post tell a Mod or even correct it after them .
The problem is ... people are trying to impress by giving a answer to every post thats comes on here , most of all the posts that nobody has replyed too . well lets see how things go
