U thinking of going MySQL and PHP?

dont do much developing?

the sites run on a php/mysql server, if anything was to be done to this extent (which I doubt anyone has the drive/time to do) it would be required that it would fit the existing server, else there will be the added element of cost in running a second server...

I apreciate on the face of it it looks a simple solution.. but really? it's a process, one which I bet xoro and syadmin could do without having to set up and maintain.

we need to change people's attitudes, all thats wrong is people take the mik too much and go too far with, if it was a fair amount then fair enough but it isnt!

I think the problem is people enjoy damping enthusiasm way too much on here (I'll get in trouble if I name names probably, big brother is watching us remember )

There is an on line manual which is very comprehensive but people still come back to the forums, unfortunately the forum (good or bad) is like a conversation, you start with the weather and end up talking about your last holiday, covering children, work, illness and car in between (that's being human). Apart from not coming on the forums I don't have an answer. To have a fluid, informative and friendly forum takes a lot of restraint from all the members. The problem is that everybody is on these forums for different reasons, as MPKPJJXY says some just want info, some want social club and everyone else fits between those two extremes. No-one is wrong but the ones towards the two extremes annoy each other and online spats occur. I really wish I had an answer to this that would keep everyone happy but as I'm only a flawed human I don't

i dont think the search button does much.look how many times iv had to answer the same question on door actuators.its got better lately but it used to be twice a week.

i think the original idea is a good one but from what those in the know on computers have said(i dont think im one in that class!!!)it sounds unlikely to happen.

seems to me the quality of the humour has gone slightly downhill of late and this is annoying people.12 months ago everything got answered and we had a laugh.now theres loads of unanswered stuff-but not in wibble.once or twice iv spotted answers where people obviously dont have a clue what they are saying-if thats the case its better unanswered than wrongly so.just lately people are diving in when they dont need to.the last thing we need is disinformation.

at least MPKPJJXY is trying to come up with new ideas so well done mate.
