Unfortunately my original post was accidentally deleted, so I have had to create a new one, for all the members who did not read the old one.
After 9 years of running various forums I have taken the decision to 'retire'. In addition to the close of the ukHCS forums, I will also be closing my
all other forums too.
This has not been a quick decision and is something that I have been considering for many months. Owning, modifying, moderating, administrating and generally worrying about forums has been part of my life for over a decade, so it will be a little strange to not have to do that any more.
For those of you newer to the forums here is a bit of background about the place -
I bought a new Coupe in 1998, I loved it so much that in 1999 I thought I would try out my new HTML skills and write a site to contain all the information I was collecting about the car. This grew and I added a 'guestbook' (like you did in those days
), which became quite popular, so this changed to become an ezBoard forum, this too gained many members, all keen Coupe enthusiasts. Anyway, it evolved a bit and became what you see today.
I would like to give a BIG thank you to all the moderators, both old and new for their help and support. And also MANY thanks to the ukHCS members who have enjoyed and supported this place. I hope you all find a new 'Coupe-home' elsewhere on the net.
The forums will continue to have 'read only' access until Wednesday to allow people to copy'n'paste any information they would like to keep. In fact there is no reason why one of you couldn't set up your own Hyundai Coupe forums
