Hi,
Can anyone help me (or am I beond help) my son's girlfriend has a BMW Z3 and I have said I will look at the speedo drive as it has stoped working. Does anyone know if it is on a cable or wire? trying to save time by asking. I know there some very clever people on here (crawl crawl creep creep) .

:yeahthat Should be fairly obvious what it is by looking at the gearbox, TBH. Big fat cable would be cable drive, thin speakerwire type cable would be electric transducer.

Try a :google for Z3 owners forums...

and im not being sarcastic either.BMW's must be one of the biggest supported cars on the internet-there must be a million people who know the answer out there but guess what-they all own BMW's!!! :rollin

Thanks for the tips have now been under the car and sorted the problem. i was trying to save laying down in the snow.
