have been in a new scirocco very claustrophobic. man did it shift tho. not been in the tdi version.check out the wheels. not the right size rims on alot of them!!!!

i think it isnt great looking car, but how the hell can they market it as a coupe, when its clearly a hatchback. as for the diesel, think of it this way VW are a business they make money thats what businesses do. VW make it through selling cars and they will offer as many options as they can to customers to by the products to make money. diesel is now seen as the fuel choice on new cars, but people also want sports cars. this has been happening first we had diesel sports salons, then hot hatches, now sports cars. people want the looks and handling and the economy and with modwern diesel there faster in the real world than a petrol. unless ive got my coupe up over 4.5k i cant keep up with a modern tdi. yes keep it abouve 5k and it'll be a little faster than a tdi. seat even use tdi in touring cars now. porsche even make a diesel 4x4 which is predicted to be there biggest seller.

yes tdi are good fun, but i find it huge rush seeing my rev needle go around to 7k, a honda s2000 goes to 9k and there's noise. for flat out driving thrills petrol wins but in every other area diesel wins. plus the modern diesel now deliver a flat out performance that is very impressive and married to the diesel benefits a high powered diesel sports car makes sense. also then attracts company car drivers, for example the 170bhp 50mpg audi tt.

My neighbour has it. It's in white and looks great! I also don't see a problem with a diesel engine in a sports car.

Hope Hyundai brings a coupe with a diesel engine to the market soon.

Would like the 2.2 CDTI Hyundai Diesel in my Coupe to keep fuel costs down It'd still be fast enough.

Why complain about a diesel version of a car when the Coupe has a 1.6l petrol which would be slower than a diesel and loads less economical?!?

dont see why the 3dr Golf couldnt have looed like that.

to me personally i wouldnt define a coupe from a hatch from the way its boot opens, its more about the shape to me. long bonnet ,small cabin, low and sexy. all of which the scirocco aint!

Yeah. Who the hell names a car after a bodystyle, anyways? Tuscani, Tiburon, Elisa etc all sound much better, IMO - even if Tuscani is a type of Pizza

I got an 08 plate golf 2.0TDI out for my work a while back. The book says 140BHP (same as the coupe) but the torque is unreal! With the driving position it was more like holding on for dear life, where the coupe holds you inplace and lets you feel what the car is doing.
