When filling out the thingy for a quote, if i put air filter as a mod does this count as a CAI? Because it doesn't have any other options

get the quote and then ring them with the internet quote ref, that way you keep the internet discount and you can tell them xactly what you got, hope this helps

Its a CAI i want to put on when i'm getting a quote but they only had the option for an air filter, tech its an air filter? It does filter air?

When I was in engineering I had to show newly graduated engineers which end of a soldering iron to hold so sorry stenny the jury is still out on that one.

That explanation was excellent mate coz I know absolutely diddly squat about car mechanics but it was easy to understand and would prove incredibly helpful if I was ever considering fitting one of those contraptions to my car.

Maybe you should paste a copy to somewhere more central as well so that more folk get a chance to see it and it doesn't just get lost on this thread.

Not trying to brag or owt, but I notice that Tesco Insurance do take a bit of a battering on here. I just fitted my K&N 57i and contacted Tesco who, after I patiently explained what it is and how it works to a very polite middle aged lady, want the princely sum of.........£7 to add it to my insurance for the next two months. Then they want £40 for the year after that. Big up to Tesco on this one I think, I don't consider that half bad

personally i never declare any of my mods to the insurance company and ive already written off 2 modded coupes and received payout both times,im not even sure they send someone to look at the car i think alot of the time they just ring the garage its at and say is it nackered or not, also to add to previous post on CAI's and puddles and link to my destroyed engine, yes it was due to the CAI it became submerged and flooded the whole engine
