Could you not ask to get another quote from somewhere else? It's only sensible to get a couple of quotes for comparison. We have done that in the past and the person was OK.

I never used to declare my mods until one day my dad's mate crashed into the side of a bridge.

Although the only mod he had done was put alloys on his car he had to fork out £30,000 to pay for the bridge repairs... :bang
