hey guys been having some quotes recently and it wasnt promising as i wanted my mods so heres how its been:-

Age:- 21, 2 years ncb, 2001 gen 2 2.0l, car is standardish at the moment.

So first my renew with more than is £580 with max ncb protected ( i know iv got an awsome deal there with them) but they dont do mods.

So got in contact with sky and even with the forum it came out at £991 with £350 excess with mods such as full catback, 4-2-1 maifold, and sri induction. so didnt like that

then tried confused with some really stupid quotes just for my standard coupe.

So then tried "compare the meerkat.com" haha and admiral was giving some good quotes £580 without mods and then £640 with the mods so that was promising.


But i then contacted adrian flux who siad admiral wouldnt insure my mods due to my age they said when i ring them thy'd decline it. but they said they'd try and match that price anyway so the next quote i had was £629 (£400 excess) with my catback exhaust 4-2-1 manifold, sri induction and a strut bar on the policy and he said i can do anymods that dont increase my bhp for free and thats with Equity Red Star. So that looks pritty good but i dont know much about the company so was wondering anyone else has dealt with them do you guys think thats a good deal the thing thats worrying me is that i wont get my protected no claims as you need 4 years+ to get it but more than are doing that anyway. Oh and i forgot to mention my new cat 1 toad ai606 alarm i should tell them that too shouldnt i as it might be even cheaper?

According to they sound absolutely awful, even taking in to consideration that it is those that are dissatisfied that tend to shout the loudest I think there's only one good comment said about them!

[Edit: Actually, looking at the that have been reviewed they're all looking much of a muchness so perhaps it's best not to take too much notice]

I am insured with them (through Adrian Flux) and have been for around 10 years now. Unfortunately (or rather not!) I've never had to claim and so cannot state an opinion of them either way.
