On my way back home from shopping today i got pulled over by the police. They said i cannot have blue angel eyes as only the police, fire service, ambulance can have blue lights. I have been issued a fixed £30 fine to be paid within 28 days and must take the angel eyes off by tomorrow. The police officer has put it down as 'unauthorised lamps fitted'

I thought angel eyes were legal? Can i appeal this? Will i need to remove my angel eyes and pay this fine?

I have gone by around 10 police cars and have had no problems but today i dont think it was the police officers day.

best just to stick to white. Any other colour is likely to lump you in trouble

I got pulled for having my blue undercar neons on a while back... i argued the fact you cant see the bulb but the reason the copper gave me was " displaying a light other than red to the rear of the vehicle" apparently if they were red i wouldnt of had a problem :confused
Only coulours allowed are white to the front, red to the rear and yellow to the sides, although i get away with blue tint HIDs

Bad luck mate! I thought yours were white from the pics I saw!!! If it helps at all, you can buy a set of whites for less than £20 on ebay!

From what I understand of Under Car Lighting rules, it is
Front - White only
Rear - Red only
Sides - Any colour as long as you can only see reflected light and not Tube / LEDs

i dont believe you can have any colour you like on the sides because it will be visible from the front and back ie if i was following you i woluld be able to see the light from them thus they are illegal!

he's right, I saw a post from the police on one of the other forums saying that, I was suprised when I read that, tbh, it seems as though no-one really has a clue what you are allowed, different people have told me completely different things, ranging from completely illegal to legal if you have this colour there etc. Just don't use them on the road :rollin Remember, you can't have any fun anymore

only white and amber legal at front-although contrary to what other posts say amber running lights are perfectly legal.........as are red indicators at the rear IF!!!! the car was built with them like that.you cant just go sticking red indicators on the rear.do what i did.get a set of lights with the useless extra light at rear and put red bulbs in and wire to indicator.you still have amber and red
