declared the drilled and grooved disc brakes - insurnance company wanted no extra charge for this

also stated a few things that i was thinking of doing to the car, granted it is only really tinkering in the attempt to make the engine run smoother rather than to screw bhp out of it just thought that people might like to know what my insurance company deemed wouldnt be nesiccary to charge me for

oil catch can (not vented) - no charge
ignition leads e.g. magnecore or nology - no charge
inlet manifold spacer (shark racing) even though on dyno readouts as increasing bhp and i told the insurance company this they still did not deem it be nesiccary to increase my premium if i installed this
and finally for the addition of a CAI would be a one off payment of £16.24 all in all im pretty chuffed i could do all this and declare it for peanuts i know its not severe tuning but thought people would like to know!

Ive got my headlights smoked & de-ambered now I just had the scary thought that ive not declared them. Wondering how much, if at all should this increase my insurance by? Also theres a very strong chance I'll be getting lexus taillights & clear side repeaters this weekend. How much would these be on it?

Lastly whats the max a CAI or SRI should increase it by?

Just want to make sure my insurance company doesnt rip me a new hole & what amount I should be looking at before trying to switch company.

Yeah, I was just wondering how much extra is counted as unreasonable before I should go somewhere else. Im still within 14 days so wont cost that much to change.

Wondered how much other people were paying for these types of mods.

Do you all declare cosmetics or just performance increases?

Ie: Re-badged, de-ambered & painted headlights, clear repeaters etc

Also does anyone have any experience of declaring mods to Esure?
