Yea but like me i put the plate on after i insured the car...

And if that was the case then every1 would buy a random plate on there car and just drive like a tw*t, if they get flashed by camera, or do a hit and run, petrol runs etc, the plate isn't insured to any1 thus making it illegal.

Getting a different plate on your car is a pain in the ass, trust me :bang

My private plate cost me nothing extra not even a admin charge but its best to let the insurance know just to cover your own backside and so they cant shaft you in the sad event of a claim :D

the reg is the identifyer of the car... your insurance uses it to this end.. if you change your plate and dont inform your insurance company I dont think your car has insurance.., although it will all tie up in the end and you may get away with it I think you will be in muchous trouble if you dont inform them...

does the pnc (police national computer) insurance section go by reg? therefore you'll be pulled for not having insurance as your new plate is not registered in the pnc by the insurance company?
