NCB reflects the fact that you haven't made a claim on that specific policy. If you start a new policy for a different vehicle, you start from scratch on NCB for that car. It's a no CLAIM bonus, not no BLAME.

Some companies will specialise in high-performance / modified cars and limit their risk due to the fact that such cars are in the minority. They therefore don't want to be covering loads of common cars, as that pushes their risk up.

It's not as easy a business as you think. (no I don't work for an insurance company)

i can understand what they are saying but it just seems crazy that i pay 480 for a modded 2.0l turbo sports coupe and also pay 370 for a 1.3l banger. granter its a different policy and you have to start from scratch but im still the same person with no convictions 7 years on the road ect. christ some quotes i got where more than im paying for the car itself. this is third party too.
