Thanks Uncle Buck for the sound advice, in the end my husband has insured it at a cost of £111 so that he can allow my excited son to come with him on a drive cause as its HIS car he wanted to be able to enjoy it before he gets his provisional licence.

Hi Jake, I'm not sure I can remember that far back but I know how I felt last September when I was waiting for my new S111 so he must be buzzing.
Good price insurance to cover your current circumstances but I repeat, check the cover for vandalism. I thought it was basic cover on all insurances but I've been proven wrong and so it's worth double checking.
Re car tax. I know it's going up a lump but just think of it in terms of a tank or two of petrol and it doesn't sound as bad and puts it in perspective. Would you give up the best car available for a couple of tank fulls of petrol? I wouldn't so I'll grudgingly accept the one hundred pound price rise in road tax and continue to enjoy my coupe.
