agree with uncle buck.and its THE LAW.you have to have it insured.which is a rip off.so get it sorned and off the road asap.then flog it asap then its not cluttering your drive up

What a pain of having two cars at once! Nobody wants paying extra £££ for nothing... Just wanted a general advise from you lot. I do respect the law, and I'll get it sorted.

Is your street/road classed as a private road? Mine is, which means the law of the road doesn't fully apply (no speed limit for starters, found that out from the plod when an idiot made me replace the door on my almera cause he drove quite fast down the bank and couldn't turn on damp cobbles, then drove off).

It has to be insured if it goes on a road, even for 1 min or 100yds as an accident can occur, why do you think garages have trade plates?

With that private street lark, it might well have changed hutchy so best watch yourself.

Public road is now classed as "anywhere to which the public have access". So long story short unless its got gates on it so nobody else can get in without permission, you could be in stuck...

As an insurance bloke i wouldn't normally suggest this but what about taking out a normal policy then cancelling? Most include a 14 day lapse clause so as long as you don't claim you get the full amount back without any admin fees. (Even better if you pay by instalments as for the most part you probably won't even have to make a payment if the dates are right)

i'm down near middlesbrough so about 40 miles away mostly. Get up that way with work though quite regular... Can't say i've seen you about though, and i dare say i'd remember a coupe like yours
