i got tints on my insurance for "free" as part of my "initial mods hit" of intake, strut braces and alloys with Sky insurance.

Think it'ld be about £40 extra from stock.

cost of my mods so far:

no mods ~ £500 for 4 yrs no claim, no points and 10+ years advance driving (but a naff post code)
intake, struts, spoiler ~ £50 (tints no extra so added them while i was there, even tho i dont have)
alloys - changed excess from £250 to £350 (no premium hit)

still after tints, but dont think u can get ANY tint on the fronts so mixed (dont like the van-look of darker backs than front)

im fcked then coz all mine arnt legal

all car are tinted to 10/ 15% from factory colours bein dark grey ,green or blue if u look on the window kite mark it will tell you what percent they have bin done.
that being said if you look up the laws on tinting it says 70% VLT not 30% that is where the confustion starts so lets stick to what the law states!!!!!
