I'm not sure about Ad Flux anymore, in the letter they sent me they actually used the letter 'u' instead of the word you And they asked me to confirm if I wanted my air filter also insured, since I'd only stated that I had a 57i induction kit and not an air filter... WTF? Aaand they wanted to know if I wanted my strut braces insured, since I'd only listed "Shark racing front and rear suspension strut bars" I mean c'mon, surely a specialist insurance company should know about these things, even when non-mechanically minded customers like me don't use the correct terminology...

not sure if it will apply but Hyundai have an alarm upgrade on the 1.6 & 2.0 SIII to thatcham 1 for £100.

I might be able to shed a bit of light. If you phone TOAD, they will let you know if it is thatcham approved immobiliser and send you a certificate if it is.

I was originally going to buy a Gen 2, and Direct line wouldnt insure for this reason, in the 2.0 SE its not thatcham approved.

I've now bought a Gen 1, and direct line didn't ask for it, so I was able to transfer my insurance from 1 car to another and finish this years no claims.
