I POD CONNECTION

Hi Sorry if this has been asked before, is it possible to connect my nano ipod to my stereo on a 05 coupe.

Is it possible to buy a lead to connect the ipod to the rear of the stereo?

One word of warning about the ipod connectors....

The FM transmitters are not very powerful - due to the fact that they don't need to be / battery drain etc etc. On my Gen 3 the aerial is right on rear quarter, and I've found a borrowed griffin Itrip was crap, purely because of the short range it transmitted.
Those things that look like a cassette tape with wire to connect to your ipod are also useless, the sound quality was terrible.

Might be time to get your cheque book out.....

i think mine just connected into the aerial connection??? might be wrong. either way it was shocking!!!! absolutely useless. would only play certian playlists (seemingly at random) with a max of about 42 songs in. other then that it wont work properly. it also only works with certian generations of the ipod.

i got an Alpine 9882Ri......and have never looked back, i dont think i could have got a better headunit, matches the interior perfectly, the lead is plenty long enough, sound quality is amazing, expandability options are aplenty. and the money i paid for it...........i think it was about Â£140 a year ago, oh and it's fully controlled at the headunit, with any ipod except shuffle(i believe) if anyone wants pictures of it in place let me know ill take some :-)

get the ipod trip for the nano or touch plugs into the cig lighter ,has an exellent sound through the speakers and allso charges the ipod at same time ,doesnt have loads of sh*tty wire either and cost about 30 quid

You could always try Unit.
Hands free bluetooth and Ipod.

Having the same problem.

Apparently they provide very good sound, and allow some control / charging of the ipod and at around Â£70 are not far off what you would have to pay for the Hyundai cable anyway. I don't know anyone that has got one fitted, but from what I can gather they get a pretty good write up.
