Here are some pics of my new install. A Becker Cascade Nav unit with Bluetooth and iPod integration along with a Revo DAB tuner.
It was not too bad to install. The Revo is powered from the radio loom and the aerial is on the back windscreen. The Becker has no cage and would not fit the original VDO unit cage in the dash, so I had to remove the original cage by drilling it out. It does fit in once the original cage is removed and is held in by very strong double sided bodyshop foam tape and does not move at all. The GPS antenna is fixed above the vents beneath the dash.
As far as wiring goes the yellow and red wires needed swapping on the VDO harness and I had to connect a reverse signal. The speed signal for the gyroscope comes from the multigauge display, brown wire pin 4; this is the only wire in the original car wiring loom that I had to tap into.
There is a microphone for the voice control (linguatronic) and telephone which is fed up the driver's side trim. The iPod is in the original centre cubby.
Hyundai wanted £50 for car mats, but luxury Tesco ones fit almost perfectly at £15 - the drivers one needed a tiny bit of trimming to fit at the fuel release flap and I have tucked the trimmed edge under the plastic cover for the flap, which prevents the mat moving around.
